In Concert@Badrutt's Palace
BEAUTIFUL, SEDUCTIVE AND SOPHISTICATED AT THE SAME TIME: IN CONCERT@BADRUTT’S PALACE
Following its highly successful launch last year, the event-series »In Concert@Badrutt’s Palace« will take place again this winter season 2013/14. World renowned stars will take centre stage in the ›Embassy Ballroom‹ at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, on the exact spot where Marlene Dietrich delighted her own audience in years gone by.
MICHAEL BOLTON, 27TH DECEMBER 2013
The series of concerts in Badrutt’s Palace Hotel gets under way with the American pop singer MICHAEL BOLTON on 27th December 2013. The two-time Grammy award winner (1990 and 1992) and six-time American Music Award champion is performing for the first time in the sparkling winter sports resort in the Engadin Alps. Bolton’s greatest hits include “How am I supposed to live without you,” (1989) and “Said I loved you…but I lied” (1993). In 1997 Michael Bolton’s song “I can go the distance,” was chosen as the soundtrack for the Disney animation Hercules and even nominated for an Oscar. Throughout the course of his career this successful American has sold a total of over 52 million albums and singles. He has performed in many places around the world with stars such as Percy Sledge, Luciano Pavarotti and Ray Charles.
MARIINSKY THEATRE, 5th January 2014
»La Soirée d’Opéra« at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel features the four celebrated opera stars of the MARIINSKY THEATRE St. Petersburg on 5th January 2014. The soprano singer Marina Shaguch, tenor Evgeny Akimov, Mezzosoprano singer Elena Maximova and baritone Alexander Gergalov – known from concerts at the Carnegie Hall in New York or La Scala in Milano – present beautiful arias in the traditional ›Embassy Ballroom‹ of Badrutt’s Palace Hotel.
Le crazy horse, 7th march 2014
Le Crazy Horse Paris on 7th March 2014 with its show Forever Crazy promises a very feminine, alluring and aesthetic end to the winter season. The original Crazy Horse cabaret – also commonly referred to as Le Crazy – was founded in 1951 in Paris by Alain Bernardin, an avant-garde artist, passionate admirer of women and the female form. Fascinated by American show girls and the United States in general, he was driven by a single idea: to make artistic creation and women the focus of his cabaret. Each of his acts combines classically trained dancers with perfect, arched bodies dressed primarily in lights, with original choreography and the latest music and fashion. This artistic signature was rapidly appraised among artists as well as the general public – pleasing women and men alike. Still today Le Crazy’s rich artistic legacy is recognized and celebrated among artists and designers, with many of whom Le Crazy has collaborated on numerous shows and creative projects, including Karl Lagerfeld, Bob Sinclar, Roberto Cavalli, Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera and Christian Louboutin. Forever Crazy was conceived as a tribute to Alain Bernardin. The show consists of a »Best Of« selection of acts from the legendary repertoire of the cabaret. The Spanish daily El Pais hails Forever Crazy as »… a visual delight!« while El Mundo qualifies it as an »incredible dream« and the Flemish de Morgen considers it a »feast for the senses«. The Canadian daily Journal du Québec sees in this show »an ode to femininity« and the Tribune de Genève qualifies it as »an enchanting erotic show endorsed by women«.
