The Guide Michelin Switzerland honors the culinary art of Marcel Skibba and the IGNIV by Andreas Caminada team at Badrutt's Palace Hotel with the second star in the current 2020 edition.
The name IGNIV is derived from the Rhaeto-romansh word for nest and stands for the wish that all guests feel comfortable and cared for. The focus is on sharing: All dishes are served in small bowls, plates or on platters in the middle of the table and each guest can serve himself according to his own appetite. The dishes are accompanied by a wonderful wine selection.
The sharing concept, with varied dishes based on regional cuisine for sharing, has been very successful from the beginning. Only nine months after the opening, Chef Skibba was awarded the first Michelin star, in February 2020 the second star followed.
